What is the story about?
The ‘One8 Commune’ restaurant in Bengaluru, formerly co-owned by India cricketer Virat Kohli, has shut down after a court order. As per various reports, the establishment had failed to pay dues exceeding
Rs 2 crore following which the order was issued.
Notably, Kohli had severed his ties with the restaurant, located near the M Chinnaswamy Stadium, after it faced repeated compliant issues over alleged fire safety violations.
According to a report in India Today, the restaurant, inaugurated in 2023 and operated by Trio Hills Hospitality, failed to pay rent for several months with the amount rising over Rs 2 crore.
