Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) has started the online registration process for admissions to its undergraduate, postgraduate, diploma and professional programmes from February 1. Candidates can apply
through the official website amucontrollerexams.com.
The university has fixed the application fee for entrance examinations between Rs 750 and Rs 1,050, depending on the course. Officials said that entrance tests for several programmes will be held in pen-and-paper mode.
For the 2026–27 academic session, the entrance exams for BA (Hons) programmes will be conducted on April 12 and April 19.

- Click on the admission tab and open the registration link.
- Log in using your email ID and password.
- Fill in the application form and upload the required documents.
- Pay the application fee.
- Download and save the application form and payment receipt.
Candidates need to submit only one application form even if they are applying for multiple courses.

AMU Entrance Exam Schedule 2026
Aligarh Muslim University has released the detailed entrance examination schedule for the 2026 academic session. The tests will be conducted on different dates for various programmes, with several major courses falling on the same day.
The entrance examinations for BTech, BArch and BBA programmes will be held on April 19.
On April 26, the university will conduct entrance tests for Senior Secondary School (Science stream), Diploma in Engineering, and Senior Secondary School (Humanities and Commerce streams). The bridge course for candidates with equivalent 10+2 qualifications from recognised boards or AMU-recognised madrasas will also be held on the same day.
The entrance exams for MBA programmes including International Business, Islamic Banking and Finance, Financial Management, Tourism and Travel Management, Insurance and Risk Management, Human Resource Management, and Hospital Administration are scheduled for June 7. Entrance tests for the Master of Public Health (MPH), Master of Social Welfare (MSW) and Bachelor of Education (BEd) programmes will also be conducted on June 7.
With several high-demand programmes scheduled on common dates, the university expects a large number of candidates to appear at examination centres.
