Now, in a fresh interview with The Indian Express, Hema spoke about the equation she shared with Sunny and Bobby and said, “Sunny will tell me. Whatever he does, he tells me.” Further speaking about their equation, Hema added, “It has always been very nice and cordial. Even today it is very nice. I don’t know why people think something is wrong with us. It is because people want gossip. Why should I answer them? Is it necessary for me to give an explanation? Why should I? It’s my life. My personal life, our personal life. We are absolutely happy and very close to each other. That’s it. I don’t have anything more to say about this. I don’t know what stories people are making up. So sad that people use others’ grief to write a few articles. That is why I don’t answer (such speculation).”
Speaking about whether she has watched the veteran star’s last film, Ekkis, Malini shared, “I came to Mathura when it was released. I have to do my work here. Also, I can’t see it now; it will be too overwhelming. That’s what my daughters are also saying. Maybe I will watch it later when the wounds start healing.”
Dharmendra’s Death
Dharmendra passed away on November 24. Recently, Hema Malini and her daughters held a prayer meet for the veteran actor in New Delhi, where the actress got emotional remembering her husband. Prior to this, his sons, Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol, also held a prayer meeting in Mumbai, which was attended by several Bollywood stars, including Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Malaika Arora, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan, Madhuri Dixit, Rekha, Jackie Shroff, and Suniel Shetty.
Dharmendra married his first wife, Prakash Kaur, in 1954, when he was just 19. They have four children together: sons Sunny and Bobby Deol, both actors, and daughters Vijeta and Ajeita. With Hema Malini, he has two daughters, Esha and Ahana Deol.
