Filmmaker Karan Johar’s dramatic weight loss has been the talk of the internet for months. While many praised his transformation, rumour mills were also abuzz that he had taken Ozempic, a diabetes drug
now infamous for rapid weight loss. During a recent appearance on Twinkle Khanna and Kajol’s show Two Much, Karan finally addressed the speculation — with his trademark wit.

“People think I don’t eat because I’m on chemical substances”
At the start of the episode, Twinkle teased Karan about the generous food spread laid out for him, joking that he had earlier complained about the lack of options. To this, Karan instantly fired back, “But if you read anything online, they think I don’t eat because I am on chemical substances, like Ozempic.”
Twinkle kept the banter going, saying, “Beta, itna injection mat liya kar! Itna dubla ho gaya hai. Mummy kya bolegi? (Son, stop taking so many injections! You’ve become so thin. What will your mother say?”
Karan laughed and replied, “Mummy bechari kuch nahi bolti aajkal.” (My mother doesn’t utter a word nowadays.) “I haven’t seen so many carbs in a while”
As the trio walked over to the lavish buffet, Karan couldn’t resist reacting to the variety of food on display. “I haven’t seen so many carbs in a while,” he said, before happily spotting his favourite dish — katsu curry. Co-guest Janhvi Kapoor chimed in that her go-to comfort food was paya curry.
Karan’s transformation has been a subject of curiosity since 2024. Though he has clarified that it came from a strict diet and disciplined lifestyle, online chatter about weight-loss drugs like Ozempic never fully died down.
Karan’s cheeky confession to Janhvi Kapoor
During another light-hearted moment on the show, Karan made a bold confession to Janhvi when he told her that he had been intimately involved with a member of her family. It all started during a game segment – ‘truth or lie’ – when Janhvi challenged Karan to reveal something scandalous.
“Tell us one scandalous truth about yourself and make up one lie, and we’ll guess which one is true,” the actress asked KJo. To this, the filmmaker replied, “I lost my virginity when I was 26 years old, and I’ve been intimately involved with a member of your family”.
While Karan’s comment left Janhvi shocked, Twinkle and Kajol were left laughing out loud. However, KJo soon clarified that even though he lost his virginity at 26, the latter was a lie. “I was late to that party and I have not been intimate with any member from your family. Though the thought has crossed my mind a couple of times,” he clarified.
