As reported by Deccan Chronicle, Anushka Sharma is likely to make her debut in Telugu cinema. The actress is in talks to star in Allu Arjun’s upcoming film, tentatively titled AA22xA6. However, nothing has been confirmed.

According to a report by Variety India, the makers are likely to unveil the official title of AA22XA6 on Allu Arjun’s birthday, April 8, 2026. The announcement is expected to come through a specially designed video that will introduce audiences to the film’s grand cinematic world. The report states that the title announcement will not be a simple reveal but a large-scale visual spectacle. The video is said to feature cutting-edge VFX and offer the first glimpse into the film’s ambitious narrative, which is reportedly set in a parallel universe. A source quoted in the report shared that the announcement video has been designed to leave viewers stunned. The visuals will reportedly showcase Allu Arjun in multiple never-seen-before avatars, highlighting the scale and creativity behind the project. “Atlee has gone beyond expectations in crafting a one-of-a-kind spectacle for Indian cinema,” the source said, hinting at the filmmaker’s ambitious vision for the film.
While the video will reportedly focus primarily on Allu Arjun’s character and transformation, fans of Deepika Padukone might have to wait a bit longer for a proper glimpse of her role in the film.
Anushka Sharma’s Chakda Xpress
In an exclusive interview with News18 Showsha, actor Dibyendu Bhattacharya, who has an extensive role alongside Anushka in the film, revealed just how special the biopic truly is. He further mentioned that he is as confused as the audience, who are eagerly waiting for the film’s release. “You don’t know how badly I’m waiting for the film to release because it is a fantastic film,” Dibyendu Bhattacharya told us. The actor didn’t hold back in praising Anushka Sharma’s performance either. “It is the best performance of Anushka Sharma to date. I don’t know why they are not releasing it. It’s a really, really fantastic film.” When asked whether the film had been shelved or merely postponed, the actor admitted to being in the dark. “I have no idea,” he said with the utmost honesty. “If I had any information about the film, I would tell you first. I really don’t know because Clean Slate is on one side and Netflix is on the other. What’s going on between the two, I have no clue,” he further stated.
Why is Chakda Xpress facing delays?
Netflix’s Chakda Xpress was announced by Anushka Sharma in 2022 as her comeback film after Zero with Shah Rukh Khan and Katrina Kaif in 2018. It is backed by Clean Slate Filmz, a production house by Anushka’s brother Karnesh Ssharma. Last year, it was reported that the production house’s partnership with Netflix has ended, resulting in a delay in its slate of releases.
Reports said that Clean Slate Filmz might repurchase the film from Netflix and might look out for other platforms for release. Clean Slate Filmz and Netflix have yet to address these claims.
