Actor Varun Dhawan is all set to hit the big screen with his upcoming rom-com, Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai, starring Mrunal Thakur and Pooja Hegde. Ahead of the film’s release on June 5, the team has
kicked off the promotions of the movie. For the same reason, Varun visited Lucknow with Mrunal, where they met their fans. However, because of the crowd, the actors could not meet all of their fans.
A fan took to social media and shared a reel expressing disappointment, claiming she had waited for hours and that the actor came on stage for only five minutes, because of which she could not get Varun’s autograph. The fan, named Divyanshi Tiwari, shared a post claiming, “We waited for 5 hours and he came for just 5 min.”

This post caughtVarun Dhawan’s attention, and he quickly took to the comment section to explain the reason behind their rushed exit. The actor said, “Sorry, I couldn’t give an autograph; we were made to leave a lil early by the cops.”

Initially scheduled to hit theatres on June 5, the film’s release date went through multiple changes. It was first pushed to June 12 after Yash announced Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups for a June 4 release to avoid a clash with Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar 2. Later, the makers surprised fans by preponing the release to May 22, weeks ahead of its original date.
However, on April 29, Varun Dhawan dropped a new poster confirming that Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai will now release on June 5 after all. The reshuffle came after Yash shared a detailed note on social media announcing that Toxic would no longer arrive on June 4, prompting the team behind the Varun Dhawan starrer to revert to its initial release plan.

The trailer of Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai is reportedly going to release on May 21. So far, the makers have dropped three major assets from the film, including the teaser and songs like WOW and Vyah Karwado Ji. Pinkvilla claimed that the trailer is expected to blend humour in classic David Dhawan style with a fun-filled romantic track alongside Varun Dhawan.
