Bollywood actor Tiger Shroff has told Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde that he is unaware of why he was targeted in a firing incident outside a football club in Mumbai’s Juhu area and that he had
received no threats before the attack. The actor also said that he was not in touch with Bollywood actor Salman Khan.
The development comes as three individuals allegedly involved in the firing incident were arrested at Kota railway station in Rajasthan. According to the details, the three were apprehended from a train travelling from Mumbai to Delhi.
During his discussion with Shinde, Tiger Shroff reportedly said he had no indication that an attack of this nature could take place. He also expressed his inability to understand the reason behind the firing, saying he was unaware of why anyone would target him.
TIGER SHROFF’S MOTHER IN SHOCK
Shinde also spoke to Tiger Shroff’s mother, Ayesha Shroff, who was reportedly in shock following the incident.
She said her son had no animosity with anyone and had never fought with anyone. She also pointed out that he did not interact much with people and said she did not understand why he had been attacked.
According to news agency ANI, investigating agencies suspected that the attack had been carried out by trained shooters who had conducted reconnaissance of the actor’s movements before executing the plan.
Sources cited by ANI said the assailants were allegedly aware that Tiger Shroff regularly visited the Juhu football ground on Sundays. They reportedly monitored his movements and timed the attack as he was leaving the venue in his car.
Following the firing, the suspects allegedly travelled along a pre-planned escape route via SV Road through Vile Parle and Andheri. They reportedly abandoned their motorcycle near Andheri West railway station before boarding a train towards Borivali.
Preliminary intelligence indicated that the suspects had subsequently crossed into neighbouring Gujarat to evade the police.
ACTOR AND DRIVER INJURED IN FIRING
According to ANI, Deputy Commissioner of Police Mohit Garg confirmed that Tiger Shroff escaped direct gunshot wounds, although his vehicle was targeted as he exited the club premises. The actor’s driver sustained injuries in the attack.
Shinde visited the actor’s residence on Sunday night to assess the situation and assure the family of the state government’s support.
He said Tiger Shroff had suffered injuries to his left hand caused by gunpowder and glass fragments. Shinde also said that the actor and his mother were deeply shaken by the incident.
“Strict action will be taken, and threats against public figures will not be tolerated,” Shinde said, according to ANI.
An FIR was registered against three unidentified individuals in connection with the shooting. The charges cited by ANI include Section 109(1) and Section 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), along with Sections 3 and 25 of the Arms Act.
