A robbery in broad daylight in New Delhi has shocked viewers, showing how unsafe even busy streets can be. In a CCTV footage, a man is attacked by a stranger who violently beats him and takes his valuables.
The attack happens quickly, leaving the victim injured and unable to move. Another person watches the entire scene but does not step in to help and only realises something was wrong after the thief ran away.
The frightening incident happened on December 3 in Dayanand Colony, right opposite Mother Dairy, which is usually a busy area. Soon after the clip spread, many demanded that the police take strict action against the robber, while others criticised the bystander for not intervening during the assault.

The clip starts with a man in a black jacket walking on the road when a robber comes from behind, grabs him and violently throws him to the ground. Moments later, another man walks nearby and, even though the victim shouts for help, he simply moves without intervening. The thief continues to beat the man while the bystander watches from a safe distance. Only after the robber flees, the second man runs after him, leaving the injured man behind.

Social Media Users Criticise Bystander And Demand Strict Action
Reacting to the post, a user wrote, “The other guy was probably looking for cameras, thinking this must be one of those chapri reels where the guy getting beaten gets up and starts walking in slow motion for no reason.”
Another shared, “Dayanand Colony, where the only thing faster than the thieves is the rate at which bystanders realise, ‘That’s not my problem.’ At least the Mother Dairy was open for a cold drink afterwards.”
“You are not safe anywhere, neither in the day nor at night. These goons should be caught first and their hands should be broken,” a comment read.
An individual stated, “Those are brutal kicks. This is an attempt to murder. Hope the victim is safe.”

It has been a week since the incident in Dayanand Colony took place, but no action by the Delhi Police has been reported, even though CCTV footage of the robbery has been circulating online.
