After Deepika Padukone announced her second pregnancy with Ranveer Singh, fans were overjoyed for the couple. However, some also wondered how the actress would finish the shoot of her upcoming films, Raaka
and King. Amid this, there were reports that Deepika’s scenes might get reduced in Raaka, which also stars Allu Arjun. Now, the makers have responded to these claims.
They told The Times of India, “Everything is moving as planned. Deepika Padukone plays a crucial role in Raaka, and the shoot is unfolding seamlessly with great energy on set.” The team called these rumours baseless and urged fans not to trust them. Previously, it was reported that Deepika would continue working amid her pregnancy.
As per Hindustan Times’ report, “Amidst her pregnancy, Deepika Padukone is shooting intense action sequences for Raaka and will continue to shoot for the film throughout her pregnancy.” Raaka is directed by Atlee and marks Deepika Padukone’s first collaboration with Allu Arjun.
Besides Raaka, Deepika Padukone will also be seen in King, which is headlined by Shah Rukh Khan. The film also stars Suhana Khan, Rani Mukerji, Abhishek Bachchan, Arshad Warsi and Manoj Pahwa, to name a few.
Meanwhile, on April 19, Deepika and Ranveer Singh took to Instagram to announce their second pregnancy. They shared a cute picture of baby Dua holding a pregnancy kit. They shared the post with evil eye emojis in the caption.
The two began dating in August 2012 after meeting on the sets of Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela. The couple tied the knot on November 14, 2018, in a grand wedding at Lake Como, Italy, with two ceremonies honouring Deepika’s Konkani roots and Ranveer’s Sindhi traditions.
Later, in 2024, they embraced parenthood as they were blessed with Dua. The couple introduced her to the world during Diwali, sharing her name and a glimpse of their family life. The name “Dua” means “prayer,” reflecting the emotional significance it holds for the family. Now, they are all ready for their baby number 2.
