Even at the age of 82, Amitabh Bachchan remains unstoppable. He keeps in touch with his fans via engaging posts on social media, mostly X, where he often shares his deep thoughts about almost everything.
Taking to his account on the micro-blogging site, he emphasised the importance of work, calling it the “essence of life.”
The actor also shared a screenshot of the X post on Instagram. It read, “T -5461, Work, the essence of life…and being.”
Why Amitabh Bachchan Numbers His Tweet
Amitabh Bachchan is well known for his little idiosyncrasies, which also include numbering tweets, with a prefix ‘T’. In a recent interaction with Shah Rukh Khan to promote Badla on Red Chillies Entertainment’s Badla Unplugged series, Big B opened up about the reason behind numbering the numbers on the micro-blogging platform in 2019.
When Shah Rukh asked Big B, “On Twitter, when you post something in English or Hindi and other languages, you have numbered them, T- something..?” the legendary actress replied, “The reason I do this is because if I want to track on which day I said something, I’ll have a reference point.” Shah Rukh then said, “Thank you so much for enlightening us.”

Amitabh Bachchan recently tried his hand at Instagram. Last month, he shared a candid video on Instagram telling them he is still figuring out how the application works. FYI, the actor has a fan following of over 37 million on the platform.

He said, “So, I am just going to educate on how to work Instagram.” Following his attempt to use Instagram, the veteran star took to his blog on Tumblr and wrote, “Spoke about learning yesterday and learnt something new today ..YEEEEEAAAAAHHHHH!!” Then, talking about the downside of it, he added, “But the downside is that have forgotten how it works .. ok tomorrow is another day (sic)!”
On the work front, Big B was last seen in Rajinikanth’s Vettaiyan, alongside Fahadh Faasil, Rana Daggubati, Manju Warrier and Ritika Singh, among others. It was released theatrically in October last year.
Looking ahead, he has Ribhu Dasgupta’s Section 84, featuring Diana Penty and Nimrat Kaur in the pipeline. Besides this, he is set to return as the host of the new season of the quiz-based reality TV show Kaun Banega Crorepati. The 17th season of the show will premiere on August 11.
