Salman Khan’s Battle of Galwan is quickly becoming one of his most anticipated films, and adding to the intrigue is his pairing opposite Chitrangada Singh. Salman is known for working with actresses much
younger than him, and his 11-year age gap with Chitrangada is the shortest in about 20 years.
Salman Khan will be 60 years old when Battle of Galwan releases, and when the 49-year-old Chitrangada was asked about being his ‘oldest’ heroine in 20 years, she told SCREEN, “I never thought I’d do a Salman Khan film because my work is very different from his. But I think it just fit perfectly.”
“When we were shooting, I just felt I was supposed to be a part of it. He’s an amazing actor, honestly. If you see some of his work, like they used to say about Rishi Kapoor, you can never make out that he’s acting. There’s a lot of his persona that he carries,” Chitrangada also mentioned.
Battle of Galwan is one of Salman Khan’s most anticipated projects, and the makers of the war drama have yet to announce the release date of the film, leaving the audience impatient. Bollywood Hungama has reported that the release date of Salman Khan’s film will coincide with his 60th birthday. The portal noted a source saying that Salman Khan was eyeing turning this one into yet another Eid release, but since Dhurandhar 2 has locked that day, the chance for Salman’s Battle of Galwan to release on a similar timeline is slim.
The source mentioned, “Salman Khan is a fair person, and he is clear that he would not like to clash with any other film. He feels it’s wrong that someone has taken up a date, and he should bring his film on another day. Hence, the team is trying to get a date which is vacant and appropriate for a grand film like Battle of Galwan. They are now looking at all the summer months, between March and June.”
“There have been murmurs in the trade that one of the biggies, scheduled for a summer release, might get pushed. The team of the Battle of Galwan is closely keeping an eye on it and whether the team can take up that date. If that doesn’t happen, they’ll look for some other date. The team is working hard on this front and expects to lock the release date in a day or two and mention the same in the promo. There’s a small chance that they might not find an apt release date in the next 3-4 days. In such a scenario, no release date will be mentioned in the teaser. But they hope to find a slot and make it known to the world with the promo,” the source added.

Instead, soldiers resorted to hand-to-hand combat with sticks and stones, making it one of the most emotionally charged stories in recent Indian history.
