Rashid Khan was in red-hot form for Afghanistan in the recently concluded three-match ODI series against Bangladesh. In the three 50-over matches played at Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi, the 27-year-old
picked up a total of 11 wickets. He dismissed three batters each in the first and third ODIs and finished with figures of 5/17 in the second match played on October 11. His super show with the ball helped him jump five places and take the No. 1 position in the ICC ODI bowler’s ranking.
Rashid has 710 rating points to his credit now, which is 30 more than Keshav Maharaj’s tally of 680. The South African spinner is in 2nd place now.

In the three ODIs against Bangladesh, Ibrahim Zadran registered scores of 23, 95 and 95 runs. The total of 213 runs in three matches helped Zadran bag the Player Of The Series award on Tuesday, and on Wednesday he jumped 8 places to become world No. 2 ODI batter.
India’s Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli are now 3rd and 5th, respectively, in the ODI batter’s rankings, and Pakistan’s Babar Azam is in 4th place.
India’s ODI captain, Shubman Gill, continues to top the ODI batter’s chart. He has 784 rating points to his credit, whereas Zadran has 764 rating points.

Jaiswal and Kuldeep rise
Yashasvi Jaiswal scored 175 runs for India in the first innings of the second Test against the West Indies at Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. His super show with the bat helped him jump two places and take the No. 5 position again in the ICC Test batter’s ranking. Jaiswal has 791 rating points.
Gill also scored an unbeaten century (129) in the first innings of the Delhi Test, but he remained in 13th position, but KL Rahul has jumped two spots to take 33rd position.

In Delhi, Kuldeep Yadav picked five wickets for 82 runs in the first innings and dismissed three West Indies batters in the second. The total of 8 wickets in the match India won by 7 wickets on Tuesday morning helped Kuldeep rise 7 places and become the new world No. 14 Test bowler (his career-best ranking). He has 689 rating points.
In the list of ODI all-rounders, Afghanistan’s Azmatullah Omarzai jumped one place to become world No. 1. Sikandar Raza is in 2nd place now with 302 rating points, and Rashid is up by two places.
With 257 rating points, he takes the No. 4 position.
