Quality Index (AQI) of the city was recorded at 393 at 6 am on Sunday morning, remaining in the ‘very poor’ category and signalling no respite from the ongoing pollution spell.
Visuals from the ITO area showed a layer of toxic smog engulfing the national capital. The AQI in the area stood at 405, categorised as ‘severe’, according to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB).
Flight operations at the Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGI) are running smoothly, airport authorities said on Sunday, issuing a passenger advisory amid routine travel movement.
In a statement, the airport confirmed that arrivals and departures are operating seamlessly, with no major disruptions reported. Passengers have been advised to stay in touch with their respective airlines for the latest updates on flight schedules.
The advisory also wished travellers a pleasant and hassle-free journey, assuring them of normal operations at the airport.
