Iran may consider withdrawing from the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) if another war breaks out, while its military would inflict devastating strikes on the United States, National Security Council
Secretary Mohsen Rezaei has said.
In an interview with state television on Saturday, Rezaei warned that Tehran would respond forcefully if hostilities resumed. “If war begins, we will break America’s horns in a way that the world will see how incapable this hornless cow is of defending itself,” he said.
He also indicated that Iran’s continued participation in the NPT could be in question in the event of another conflict. “It is uncertain whether we will remain in the NPT if another war begins,” he said.
Iran’s Supreme National Security Council Secretary, Mohsen Rezaei:
If a war breaks out, Iran’s response will be decisive.
We will break America’s horns and deprive it of the ability to defend itself. https://t.co/FGPV1aV9bE

Rezaei outlined the division of diplomatic responsibilities within the Islamic Republic, saying the Supreme National Security Council oversees diplomacy during wartime, while the Foreign Ministry handles diplomatic affairs in peacetime.
He also stressed that national unity would be crucial in confronting external threats. “National unity and cohesion are no less important than our missiles, and the enemy becomes disappointed and discouraged when it sees this unity,” Rezaei said.
