A wedding ceremony in Bihar turned into chaos after a dispute over sweets led to a violent clash between the two families. The incident was caught on the CCTV camera of the hotel, where the ceremony was happening.
It is being reported that both families had gathered at a hotel in Bodh Gaya for the wedding ceremony on November 30. Footage from inside the venue captured the moment when an argument over a shortage of rasgulla escalated into a fight.
The video shows more than two dozen people, likely from the groom’s side, throwing chairs and ruining the catering in one of the halls of the hotel. According to reports, the bride’s family was staying in the same hotel. The ceremony had already begun, and the couple was preparing to head toward the mandap to take the traditional seven pheras. However, the event was called off after the clash took place.

Bride’s Family Files Dowry Case
Following the clash, the bride’s family filed a dowry case against the groom’s side. They alleged harassment and misconduct. The groom’s father, Mahendra Prasad, confirmed on Wednesday the fight happened due to shortage of rasgullas, NDTV reported. He alleged the bride’s family filed a false dowry case following the incident.
While the groom’s family agreed to continue with the wedding, the bride’s family refused to proceed after the fight. The groom’s mother, Munni Devi, alleged that members of the bride’s family took the jewellery she had brought as gifts during the chaos.
“We tried to negotiate with the bride’s family that the wedding should go ahead. But it did not work out,” the groom’s cousin Sushil Kumar told the news outlet.
The video of the fight is being circulated widely on social media. People from both sides were injured in the fight, but the police are yet to arrest anyone, according to reports.
