Former Indian cricketer Ravichandran Ashwin’s post on former captain MS Dhoni has sent Chennai Super Kings fans into panic as Ashwin hinted that Dhoni might not feature at all in IPL 2026, with CSK all set
to play their final league game at the MA Chidambaram Stadium on Monday.
Dhoni hasn’t featured yet this season, but after hinting that his farewell match would be at Chepauk, there is growing anticipation that the ‘Thala’ could take the field against Sunrisers Hyderabad tonight.
But reports also say that Dhoni has suffered a thumb injury and will not feature in the match against SRH in any capacity, not even as an impact player.

Fans on social media had mixed reactions. Some wondered whether this could be Dhoni’s final appearance in the IPL, while others argued that Chennai Super Kings should stick with their winning combination given their playoff ambitions.
Another section of fans felt that Hosein deserves a place in the XI to strengthen CSK’s chances of a win.
