Sanjay Dutt’s Aakhri Sawal is all set to hit the big screen on May 15 and finally, just two days before its release, it has been reported that the movie has passed the certification process and received
a UA 16+ certificate from the CBFC.
As the certification for the film got delayed, the movie was pushed by a week. The movie, which was earlier reported to hit screens on May 8, will now arrive in theatres on May 15. With the certification finally being granted to the movie, it looks like the makers are all set to storm the big screen.

The film is set to revolve around a pivotal meeting that reportedly altered the course of the nation, aiming to go beyond conventional historical accounts. It seeks to explore themes of selfless service and uncover lesser-known aspects of India’s socio-political journey.
Alongside Sanjay Dutt, the film features a strong ensemble including Amit Sadh, Namashi Chakraborty, Sameera Reddy, Tridha Choudhury, and Neetu Chandra. The project is directed by National Award-winning filmmaker Abhijeet Mohan Warang, who previously earned recognition for his Marathi film Picasso.
The film is presented by Nikhil Nanda and produced by Nikhil Nanda and Sanjay Dutt under the banners of Nikhil Nanda Motion Pictures and Neem Tree Entertainment. It is co-produced by Puneet Nanda, Dr. Deepak Singh, Gaurav Dubey, and Ujjwal Anand, with writing credits going to Utkarsh Naithani.

On the work front, Dutt was recently seen in one of the most successful Hindi films, Dhurandhar: The Revenge. The movie broke several records. Sanjay Dutt played the role of SP Chaudhary Aslam. The movie starred Ranveer Singh in the lead role, and it also stars Sara Arjun, Rakesh Bedi, Gaurav Gera, Saumya Tandon, and Danish Pandor in key roles.
The actor has recently announced his next project, a Khalnayak sequel. He unveiled the first look on April 24, instantly sending fans into a frenzy, especially with the unmistakable echo of the cult track Khal Nayak Hoon Main playing in the background. Sharing the announcement, Dutt wrote, “Kuch kahaani khatam nahi hoti… woh dobara shuru hoti hai. Khalnayak Returns.”
