The newly released trailer has already set the tone for what looks like a loud, lively, and very familiar cinematic ride. It marks another collaboration between director David Dhawan and Varun Dhawan, their fourth project together, continuing a partnership known for high-energy comedy films designed for mass audiences.

The film brings together Varun Dhawan, Mrunal Thakur, and Pooja Hegde in lead roles, supported by a packed ensemble cast including Rakesh Bedi, Chunky Panday, Jimmy Shergill, Mouni Roy, Rajesh Kumar, and Ali Asgar, all of whom appear to add to the film’s chaotic humour and layered storytelling.
Speaking about the film, director David Dhawan reflected on his long journey in cinema and his continued focus on entertaining audiences. “This is my 46th film, and entertaining my audience continues to give me biggest joy. The film has all the ingredients of a classic family entertainer — humour, confusion, music, and heart,” he said.
On the production side, producer Ramesh Taurani also shared his thoughts on what the film is aiming to deliver. “With Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai, we wanted to create a wholesome entertainer filled with laughter, music, romance, and family fun. We’re excited for audiences to experience the film’s energy and madness,” he said.
Adding to the early buzz, the film’s music is already gaining attention, with tracks like WOW turning into a dance number favourite, Tera Ho Jaun leaning into romance, and Vyah Karwado Ji emerging as a wedding playlist contender.
Backed by Tips Films Ltd and co-produced by Maximilian Films (UK), the project continues David Dhawan’s long-standing reputation for delivering mass-market comedy entertainers.
Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai is set to release in cinemas on June 5.
