Actor, producer and environmental advocate Dia Mirza is stepping into 2026 with an exceptionally packed and creatively fulfilling slate. With four acting projects already lined up for release, multiple
productions underway and her debut as a children’s book author, the year marks a significant milestone in her evolving career.
On the acting front, Mirza will be seen in Ikka, a film that brings together an ensemble cast featuring Sunny Deol, Akshaye Khanna and Tillotama Shome. She also has two web series in the pipeline, one co-starring Nawazuddin Siddique and another with Jimmy Shergill, further strengthening her presence in the digital space. Additionally, she is part of an untitled feature film with Rahul Bhat, adding to an already diverse lineup of stories.
Dia Mirza talks about balancing a Packed Schedule
When asked about navigating her packed professional schedule, Mirza told Hindustan Times that she is intentionally focusing on maintaining balance and cultivating inner calm. She said, “Professionally, it’s a year I’m truly looking forward to — I have four incredible stories that I’ve already shot, all lined up for release, along with films we’ve produced at One India Stories and scripts we’re preparing to take forward in the coming year. I’m also excited to see my children’s books reach young readers.”
The actress added, “However, I also want to simplify more- my schedule, and the constant pressure we place on ourselves. I’m keen to continue learning, especially around storytelling for impact, sustainability, and emotional well-being. I also want to return to quieter, nourishing practices – reading more, spending more time in nature, and reconnecting with creative disciplines that bring calm and clarity.”
Dia Mirza on Motherhood, Presence and Raising Her Son Avyaan
Despite the demanding year ahead, Mirza is clear that family remains her anchor, particularly her role as a mother to her four-year-old son, Avyaan. She emphasised the importance of staying grounded and emotionally available and said, “Personally, I want to remain present and grounded, especially as a mother. In 2026, I wish for our children to grow up in a country where their health is a priority – cleaner air, water, healthier soil and food. A country where our children feel safe, heard and hopeful.”
