Days after becoming a world champion – for the second time in his career – star India cricketer Kuldeep Yadav is reportedly set to get married to his childhood friend Vanshika Chadha. The wedding will
be held at a private resort in Mussoorie on March 14.
The left-arm spinner was part of the India squad that created history by becoming the first team to win consecutive ICC Men’s T20I World Cup titles and the first team to lift the trophy on home soil. It was their third ever such triumph that makes them the most successful team in the competition’s history.
Kuldeep though played in just one match of the T20I showpiece with India preferring Varun Chakaravarthy as their first-choice spinner.
The 31-year-old was impressive in his only match of the tournament against Pakistan as he took 1/14 in a 61-run win in Colombo.

Kuldeep’s India teammates and BCCI officials are expected to attend his wedding.
The wristspinner will be back in action at the upcoming IPL 2026 on April 1 when his franchise Delhi Capitals plays their opening match of the season against Lucknow Super Giants in Lucknow.
With the focus now set to shift to ODI cricket, former India selector Devang Gandhi feels that Kuldeep will play a prominent role for the team after limited T20I involvement.
“…very soon, the attention will start shifting towards the 50-over format as you have the ODI World Cup next year. From that perspective, the matches Kuldeep plays going forward assume greater importance in terms of assuring himself of a place in the Cup squad,” Gandhi was quoted as saying by Telegraph India.
He feels that in South Africa, Kuldeep should get the preference over Varun.
“Kuldeep will be a better choice in South Africa, where the pitches will have a lot more bounce. He can be expensive but can also pick up wickets utilising that extra bounce,” Gandhi said.
