Kate Middleton, the future Queen of England, is a known serial outfit repeater. She also has impeccable style, where she is able to style her looks into completely different outfits, sometimes even going
to great lengths to redesign her pieces so that she can wear them on different occasions.
Catherine, Princess of Wales, has been dealing with cancer and is currently in remission. She has made a slow but steady return to public life, which includes attending several events and public appearances.
For her first solo public appearance this year, Kate Middleton hosted England’s Women’s Rugby team to celebrate their historic victory in the 2025 World Cup. Though the honour comes a little late after the win, the women’s team and Kate were seen having a great time at Windsor Castle.

In honour of the team that is called the Red Roses, Kate rewore a red suit by one of her favourite designers, Alexander McQueen. In fact, she has worn several of his creations, including having him design her iconic 2011 wedding gown for her marriage to husband, Prince William.
She debuted the striking suit in 2023, wearing it for two high-profile engagements: the Coronation Concert and the launch of her Shaping Us campaign.
Red is often associated with confidence, strength and passion. It is also the colour of love as we are in the lead-up to Valentine’s Day. The future queen wore the Asymmetric Drop Hem Suit Jacket in Welsh Red, a signature design by Alexander McQueen. It is paired with the matching wide-leg trousers and creates a head-turning look.
She wore a white top with a deep V-neck that was also modest and peeked out from under her red blazer.
For her accessories, Kate Middleton wore a pair of vintage earrings with William’s birthstone – a cluster of pearls. It has been speculated that the earrings were a present to Kate from William, as she celebrated her 44th birthday on January 9.
Kate also wore a small tribute to herself with a gold necklace with her birthstone, garnet. Marie Claire reported that the necklace is from Auree London.
The players met with Kate, and she was seen warmly interacting with all the players as their patron. Kate took on the role from Prince Harry, the Duke of Sussex, in 2022. She was offered a signed rugby jersey and even presented with the Rugby World Cup trophy, followed by a group photo, with the Princess seated in the front centre row.
Kensington Palace posted a carousel on their official Instagram account featuring photos and videos of Kate. The post was accompanied by a message from the future Queen, which read, “A great day hosting Women’s Rugby World Cup winners @redrosesrugby today at Windsor! Congratulations to you all – what an achievement!”
