While the world adores Salman Khan as one of the biggest superstars, he is equally loved for being a strong supporter to those in need. He has always stepped forward to help people, and now, the superstar has once
again extended his support through his NGO, Being Human, to aid the Punjab flood victims.
As Punjab faces one of the most disastrous floods, Salman Khan’s Being Human Foundation has dispatched five boats to assist in the ongoing rescue operations. Out of these, three are actively being used to rescue stranded residents, deliver food supplies, and support volunteers on the ground, while the other two were formally handed over at the Ferozepur border.
Furthermore, Punjab Tourism Chairman Deepak Bali has confirmed that Salman Khan’s foundation plans to adopt flood-hit border villages near Husainiwala once the situation stabilises.
Salman Khan Addresses Punjab Floods On Bigg Boss 19
In the recent Weekend Ka Vaar episode of Bigg Boss 19, Salman Khan told housemates about floods in Punjab and Himachal Pradesh. “Do you know the conditions in Uttrakhand, Himachal Pradesh and now in Punjab? Baad pe baad, landslides, tabahi machi hui hai. Yeh jo farmers humare liye khaana banate hain, unke pass anaaj nahi hai khaane ke liye, ghar nahi hai rehne ke liye (Flood after flood, landslides, there is devastation everywhere. These farmers who grow food for us don’t even have grain to eat themselves, or homes to live in),” he said.
“This community is known for langar, for social service, for selflessness. Whoever comes for langar, they never let anyone leave disappointed or hungry. Now that disaster has struck them, it is our duty to do something for them. Many singers from Punjab have contributed a lot, personally going there. We too are trying from here to do whatever we can,” the actor added.
Salman Khan’s Upcoming Projects
