The IPL 2026 season isn’t just heating up on the pitch; it’s practically boiling over on social media. A new video released by the Rajasthan Royals (RR) has fans convinced that the franchise just took
a massive, “pink-tinted” swipe at RCB icon Virat Kohli.
RR recently dropped a heartwarming clip of their players—including Yashasvi Jaiswal and Riyan Parag—patiently stopping to sign autographs and interact with a group of young fans. On the surface, it’s classic wholesome content for your feed. But in the world of IPL Twitter, users are saying the timing is more telling.
The video comes just 48 hours after a heartbreaking clip of a young Virat Kohli fan went viral. In that footage, a little boy clutching a bat was seen breaking down in tears and throwing his bat in frustration after being blocked by security as Kohli walked past at a team hotel.
“Always Making Time”: A Subtle Dig?
While RR didn’t name names, fans were quick to read between the lines. The captions and the focus on “making time for the young ones” felt like a pointed contrast to the Kohli incident.
One user commented: “Ye Rajasthan wale Panga le rahe hai Kohli fans se..🤣🤣 Kahna kya chahate ho??” (These Rajasthan guys are picking a fight with Kohli fans.. what are you trying to say??). Others also added that it was sweet on part of the players to have signed autographs for young fans. “Not like a player who left a kid crying for an autograph recently!! Thanks YBJ for not breaking a young one’s heart!!”

“Are You Trolling @imVkohli?”
Some users pointed out how this dig by RR was just opportunistic social media play. “Moments like this show how quickly sensitivity gets replaced by opportunism. Not everything needs to be turned into content 🙂 Sad!”

Many pointed out that Kohli—who just became the first player to cross 9,000 IPL runs this week—often stops for fans, and the viral “ignore” was likely a result of strict security protocols rather than a lack of intent.
