Khalnayak, Subhash Ghai’s 1993 cult classic action drama film featuring Sanjay Dutt, Madhuri Dixit and Jackie Shroff in the leads, has clocked 32 years today, on August 6. The film’s exploration of moral
complexity, redemption and the thin boundary between good and evil, all with its incredible action sequences and emotional depth, has made it a benchmark in Indian cinema.

Sharing the post, he wrote in the caption, “#32YearsOfKhalnayak.”
Khalnayak: Production And Storyline

Ganga goes undercover as a dancer to infiltrate Ballu’s world and bring him to justice.

Khalnayak Sequel In Development
Earlier, reports suggested that Subhash Ghai is working on the sequel to Khalnayak. Speaking to Filmfare, a source said, “Subhash ji is delighted to stage a sequel to Khal Nayak. The tale will centre on fresh characters performed by newcomers. But to add the original appeal, Madhuri Dixit and Sanjay Dutt may be cast in unique roles. It’s a project in the making right now, but Subhash ji and his crew are very excited about it.”
Subhash Ghai, on the other hand, previously told ETimes, “I’m not seeking actors to play Ballu Balram, but rather a younger actor to play a new role in Khalnayak 2 who will face off against Ballu Balram, who is now 55 years old. Ballu will be played by Sanjay Dutt only. Just like Al Pacino played in Godfather II and Marlon Brando played Godfather I.”
An official announcement of the sequel is still awaited.
