Jaipur Raid Uncovers Expired Amul Products
Just over a week before this video surfaced, a major enforcement action took place in Jaipur involving Amul products. According to reports, nearly 1.5 lakh kilograms of expired non-dairy food items were destroyed by the Rajasthan Food Safety Department. The action was taken after authorities uncovered an alleged plan to repackage and sell these products with altered expiry dates.
The consignment reportedly included non-dairy products sold under the Amul brand, such as noodles, ketchup, mayonnaise and energy drinks. These were manufactured by Kaira District Co-operative Milk Producers’ Union and supplied through Advansys India Private Limited.
Around 12,000 cartons containing expired products were recovered. In nearly 3,000 cartons, the expiry dates printed on the packaging had allegedly been erased.
