Here’s a month-wise income-tax compliance calendar for FY 2026-27, including deadlines for TDS deposits, advance tax payments, and income tax return filing:
April 2026
April 30: Deadline for TDS/TCS payments for March 2026 by non-government deductors; filing of Form 24G by government offices; submission of Form 15G/15H declarations; quarterly intimation by pension funds and sovereign wealth funds; deposit and challan-cum-statement filings for March TDS.
May 2026
May 7: Deposit of TDS/TCS for April 2026; submission of buyer declarations for tax-exempt procurement under new provisions.
May 15: Issuance of TDS certificates for specified transactions; reporting by stock exchanges and recognised associations; client code modification disclosures; filing of TCS quarterly statements.
May 30: Issuance of TCS certificates for Q4 FY 2025–26; reporting of business transactions under Section 285B.
May 31: Annual financial transaction reporting (Form 61A); PAN allotment applications where required; Form 61B reporting by financial institutions; donation reporting (Form 10BD); employee superannuation fund return filings.
June 2026
June 7: Deposit of TDS/TCS for May 2026; buyer declaration filings for May purchases.
June 15: Issuance of TDS certificates for salary and non-salary payments; first instalment of advance tax for FY 2026–27; quarterly TDS certificates for Q4 FY 2025–26; income distribution reporting by investment funds.
June 30: Reporting by Alternative Investment Funds (AIFs) to unit holders; securities transaction disclosures; TDS challan-cum-statement filings for May.
July 2026
July 31: Deadline for filing Income Tax Returns (ITR) for FY 2025–26 for taxpayers not subject to audit; payment of self-assessment tax, where applicable.
September 2026
September 15: Second instalment of advance tax, taking cumulative payment to 45%.
October 2026
October 31: Due date for filing ITR for taxpayers requiring audit.
November 2026
November 30: Filing of transfer pricing reports, where applicable; payment of self-assessment tax in relevant cases.
December 2026
December 15: Third instalment of advance tax (75% cumulative).
