Morning rush hours in Mumbai often push commuters to take risks just to reach work on time. Crowded platforms, packed trains and limited footbridges turn daily travel into a challenge. A recent clip from
Borivali railway station shows how far some passengers go when time is tight. The video has sparked debate online, with many calling out the danger, while others say it reflects the everyday struggle of city life.
The clip captures a tense moment when routine travel turns risky within seconds. The video was shared on Instagram and quickly caught attention for showing commuters using an unsafe shortcut during the morning rush.
Why Were People Crossing The Tracks This Way?
The clip opens at Borivali station, where a train is standing at the platform. Instead of using a foot overbridge, several passengers are seen climbing onto the front of the train engine to cross to the other side. The engine becomes a makeshift bridge as people carefully step over it with bags in hand, while others wait their turn behind them.
As more commuters climb on, the train driver gives a signal and blows the horn, clearly warning people to move away. Despite this, a few passengers continue crossing, trying to beat time. The crowd on the platform looks tense, with some watching closely and others rushing past.
What Happens When The Train Starts Moving?
Towards the end of the video, the situation becomes more serious. The train begins to move slowly while a few people are still standing on the engine. Some manage to jump down in time, but others remain stuck as the train inches forward.
People on the platform start shouting and waving at the driver, urging him to stop the train so those still on the engine can get down safely. After loud calls from the crowd, the train slows, allowing the remaining passengers to climb off.
The caption of the clip reads, “Khatron ke Khiladi.”
What Did People Say After Watching The Clip?
Shared on January 11, the video has crossed over one lakh views so far and continues to draw reactions.
A user joked, “Or kitna vikas chahiye?” Another said, “Mentos Zindagi.”
“Borivali Platform No. 09 aahe 100 per cent,” a person wrote. “Spirit of Mumbai be damned….But I love the jugaadu spirit of Mumbaikars,” another commented.
