up for his next major project, Pralay. If reports are to be believed, Ranveer will start shooting for the Jai Mehta directorial in August. According to Variety India, Ranveer will continue filming Pralay until Diwali before taking a paternity break, during which production is expected to be temporarily halted.
Amid this, Ranveer Singh was recently spotted at Jai Mehta’s father, filmmaker Hansal Mehta’s, office. However, he made sure his face was hidden from the media, as cameras captured him wearing a full-face mask. Moreover, he also hid his face with a cap. While leaving Hansal Mehta’s office, he made sure his new look for Pralay wasn’t revealed to the media.

According to reports, Ranveer Singh will kick off the Pralay shoot in Australia this September. Kalyani Priyadarshan, who was recently seen in Lokah, will play the lead actress alongside him. Interestingly, this will also be her Hindi film debut. After completing this schedule, Singh will reportedly take a paternity break.
Pralay is a post-apocalyptic thriller set in a dystopian Mumbai devastated by a zombie outbreak. The story revolves around a married couple struggling to stay alive amid the chaos. Backed by an estimated budget of ₹300 crore, the film is expected to be the costliest standalone project of Ranveer’s career. He is also co-producing the venture under his banner, Ma Kasam Films.
Details about the cast and storyline of Pralay are currently being kept under wraps. Meanwhile, a few days ago, Pinkvilla reported that a significant portion of the film’s shoot will take place in Australia. “Ranveer will start shooting for the Jai Mehta directorial in the second half of 2026. The shoot is planned in Australia, and he has already kick-started prep. This is a film that requires intense physical and emotional preparation, given the scale and genre,” a source told the entertainment portal.
