After a fresh spell of snowfall across the northern part of India, people flocked to the mountains for short getaways. While many enjoyed the snow-covered landscapes and chilly weather, others were less
fortunate as they faced multiple struggles, including roadblocks. Amid these incidents, a video showing a heated argument between a tourist and a cab driver from Manali, Himachal Pradesh, has gone viral on social media. The two reportedly argued over money.
At the beginning of the clip, the cab driver said that the female tourist was just like his own “kid”. But that backfired on him, as the woman immediately asked him to remain quiet. As their argument progressed, she told him, “Badtameezi mat karo (Stop misbehaving).” As the tension rose, people tried to intervene between them, asking the driver to stop.
The Cab Driver Demanded A Payment Of Rs 3,000
As the confrontation continued, the cab driver was heard demanding payment from the woman, who refused and demanded a refund of Rs 11,000. He asked for a payment of Rs 3,000, claiming he is a poor man. Things quickly escalated between the two, with the woman telling him, “Tum ye soch rahe ho ki humara yahan pe koi hai nahi (You must be thinking we have no one here),” and then added, “Thappad itni zor se maarungi na ( I will slap you so hard).” She repeatedly told him not to misbehave and even threatened him during the argument.
The Woman Yelled, “Muhn Bandh Kar Apna” At The Driver
The driver, however, maintained that he was not at fault because his car got stuck in the snow. Towards the end of the clip, the woman was heard angrily shouting at him, “Muhn bandh kar apna (Shut your mouth).” After which, the cab driver turned to bystanders and asked what his fault was. Then someone suggested that they should get in touch with their point of contact.

Not quite understanding the reason behind their confrontation, one person asked Grok, “What’s happening here?” In response, it replied, “The video shows a heated argument in snowy Manali between a female tourist and a cab driver after their vehicle breaks down. She’s upset about the incomplete trip and payment (around 4,000), using abusive language and threatening to slap him, while he responds politely. It highlights her aggressive behaviour in the situation.”
The Internet Is Divided Over Their Heated Argument
Since the clip was posted on X (formerly Twitter), it has garnered over 1 lakh views and left viewers divided. One user said, “The patience of this driver is formidable. He continued speaking so respectfully despite being a victim of a mannerless woman who repeatedly threatened him with physical assault.”
“Upbringing matters. She knew a poor man can’t cross his limit. Filthy,” a user mentioned.
“Ye aadmi ladke ko beta beta but ladki ko chal ja dekh le bol raha hai,” pointed out another user.
“There is no proper context, and yet everyone just starts abusing the couple. This shows how people have given up the ability to think & have started to just react to what they consume,” a different individual shared.
“Simply file an online FIR. and send the signed printed copy by registry or courier within 3 days to any police station nearby. Paise bhi ayenge or madam ji pair choo ke maafi maang ke jayengi+ 50,000 de ke kam se kam,” someone else suggested.
