Actress Tabu has officially announced her next film! She kicked off shoot for Puri Jagannadh’s upcoming Pan-India film, starring Vijay Sethupathi in the lead. Tabu shared a picture of the clapperboard,
and called the film ‘South Ka Dhamaka.’ Several reports suggest that she will play a powerful antagonist in this film, however, it hasn’t been officially confirmed yet. The film went on floor in July this year, and the production house Puri Connects shared a picture featuring actors Vijay Sethupathi and Samyuktha.
Tabu Kicks Of Shoot For Vijay Sethupathi Film
On Tuesday, Tabu shared a picture on social media featuring a ‘Puri Sethupathi film’ clapperboard placed among bundles of sheets stacked on shelves. In her caption, she wrote, “Coming soon! Hamara South ka Dhamaka! #PuriSethupathi film @puriconnects @actorvijaysethupathi #PuriSethupathi A #PuriJagannadh film Releases in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Kannada and Malayalam.” Check out the post below!

Vijay Sethupathi-Puri Jagannath Film Went On Floors In July
On July 7, the production house Puri Connects announced that the film went on floors. “AND IT BEGINS! The raw and real journey of #PuriSethupathi begins on the sets today in Hyderabad. Major talkie portions featuring Makkalselvan @VijaySethuOffl and fierce @iamsamyuktha_ are being canned in this packed schedule and will have a continuous shoot. A #PuriJagannadh film. The film is being produced by Puri Jagannath under the banner of Puri Connects and is to be presented by Charmi Kaur in collaboration with JB Motion Pictures and JB Narayan Rao Kondrolla. While Vijay Sethupathi and Samyuktha play the lead roles, Tabu and Vijay Kumar have pivotal roles in the film.
Tabu’s Role In Puri Jagannadh Film
According to a report by Hindustan Times, Tabu plays a key role in the film and serves as the main antagonist. Puri Jagannadh is known for giving strong female roles in his films, and he does it again with Tabu in this untitled project. According to reports, the actress will take on a new look for this movie as well. This is not the first time Tabu will play a negative role in her career. She has previously played grey characters in films such as Maqbool and Andhadhun.
