Rakhi Sawant has talked about Thalapathy Vijay and Trisha Krishnan’s dating rumours. In a recent interview, the controversial entertainment queen mentioned that the two stars should get married and expressed
her desire to attend their pre-wedding festivities.
“I think they should get married. Mujhe lagta hai Vijay aur Trisha ko shaadi kar lene chahiye, aur hum aayenge mehendi mein (I think Vijay and Trisha should get married, and we will go for their mehendi ceremony),” Rakhi told Filmymantra Media.
Rakhi further addressed Vijay’s victory in Tamil Nadu assembly polls and added, “He is the first Christian in Tamil Nadu to win so many seats. So, I personally like him, and it was my dream to do a song with Vijay, but I didn’t get that chance. However, now I feel that I should join his party.”
Vijay And Trisha’s Dating History
Over the years, Trisha and Vijay have remained one of Tamil cinema’s most-loved on-screen duos. Their crackling chemistry in hits like Ghilli (2004), Thirupaachi (2005), Aathi (2006), and Kuruvi (2008) had fans hooked. It was around 2008, after the release of Kuruvi, that fans began speculating about off-screen chemistry due to their strong on-screen bond.
After Kuruvi, Vijay and Trisha suddenly stopped working together — fueling gossip that their closeness during Ghilli had turned into something more. Rumours even did the rounds that Vijay’s family had asked him to keep his distance from Trisha post Kuruvi. Both stars, however, denied any romance, insisting they were “just friends.”
However, in 2023, Vijay and Trisha left their fans super excited when they reunited after 15 years for the film, Leo.
Trisha To Join Vijay’s TVK?
Reportedly, TVK leaders are keen for Trisha to join the party and contest by-elections from the Tiruchirappalli East constituency in Tamil Nadu. Vijay has won two constituencies, Perambur in Chennai and Tiruchirappalli East in the Tamil Nadu Assembly elections. However, as per the laws, he cannot keep both seats. Therefore, he must resign from one within 14 days. Following this, a bypoll election will be announced in the seat he will vacate.
Reportedly, Vijay and his party members are keen for him to retain Perambur since his victory margin there is almost double, and the constituency is also closer to the state secretariat. This means that Vijay is likely to resign from the Tiruchirappalli East seat. It is said that Vijay and TVK leaders are now trying to convince Trisha Krishnan to contest from the seat. However, since Trisha has no political background, she is not very keen on entering politics.
