Things are clearly not cool in the Beckham household right now. What began as quiet tension has reportedly snowballed into something far more serious, with Brooklyn Beckham said to have drawn firm boundaries
as his fallout with parents David and Victoria Beckham enters legal territory.
According to a report by The Sun, Brooklyn has asked his parents to stop contacting him directly and to route any communication strictly through legal representatives. The move reportedly extends beyond David and Victoria, with claims that Brooklyn has also cut off contact with other close family members, marking a sharp escalation in the long-running dispute.
Sources cited by the publication say the decision was communicated through formal channels last year. One source explained, “Truly, people do not know the full facts of this heartbreaking tale, and think Brooklyn was just being truculent when he blocked his parents. The reality is that he issued them with a letter at the end of last summer, asking for any correspondence to go via lawyers only, and wanted to try and make amends privately not publicly. He felt his parents continued to ignore his wishes and kept mentioning him online instead of reaching out privately. For their part, David and Victoria have simply tried to let their beloved eldest son know the door is always open, and that they still care.”
The same source clarified that the step was not intended as a legal threat, adding, “To be clear, this was a request via lawyers, not a direct legal threat. But, naturally, it is an unprecedented move which shows just how bad things have become.”
The roots of the feud reportedly go back several years. Tensions are said to have surfaced around Brooklyn’s 2022 wedding to actor Nicola Peltz, particularly over disagreements involving her wedding dress. Matters allegedly worsened later when Brooklyn’s younger brother Romeo was reported to be dating Kim Turnbull, who had previously been linked to Brooklyn.
Family dynamics appeared to fray further following a seemingly minor social media moment, when Victoria Beckham liked one of Brooklyn’s cooking videos on Instagram. Soon after, Brooklyn reportedly blocked his family members on social platforms. His younger brother Cruz later spoke publicly in defence of their parents, saying they would never want to cut ties and suggesting Brooklyn had chosen to distance himself. Brooklyn’s absence from several high-profile Beckham family gatherings over the years also fuelled speculation of a deepening rift.
While remaining silent on his family, Brooklyn has continued to publicly show support for his wife. On Nicola Peltz’s birthday, he shared a heartfelt post, writing, “My dear Nicola x happy birthday beautiful girl x I love you with all my heart, and I am the luckiest man to call you my wife x you are the funniest and most hard working person I know x can’t wait to stay young with you baby girl xx.”
Brooklyn and Nicola married on April 9, 2022, and renewed their vows in August 2025. The absence of David and Victoria from the renewal ceremony only added to reports of strain between the two sides. Since then, the distance appears to have widened, with legal channels now reportedly serving as the only line of communication.
As of now, neither Brooklyn nor the Beckham family has issued an official statement addressing the claims or confirming the reported legal developments.
