The holiday spirit has officially engulfed the air – streets are lit up, the aroma of hot cocoa lingers in the atmosphere, Christmas movies have taken over our screens and children across the city are eagerly
waiting for Santa Claus.
Adults, too, over time have made the jolly red character a part of their celebrations – from office secret Santa rituals to charity events – it’s evident that ‘Santa Claus’ is not merely a fictional being; the persona has long stood for what Christmas is actually about – sharing your joy with others. And, if you, too, are looking for a chance to be Santa to someone else this season, here’s where your kindness can go:

Indielove Welfare Foundation
What began with rescuing one puppy turned into a lifetime commitment for Sunil Kaushik, who started the IndieLove Welfare Foundation in 2016. On what led to the foundation being born, Kaushik shares, “Looking at the high cost of care around us, we started Indielove – with the aim to provide rescued animals with the best care at the lowest cost, so people don’t have to hesitate before helping an animal due to monetary restrictions.” Today, the foundation in Gurgaon is home to over 300 rescued animals ranging from dogs to goats – each one thriving in a secure environment away from the uncertainties of the streets.
