The excitement around the highly anticipated reunion project starring Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan continues to grow, and now fresh reports suggest that Trisha Krishnan may also join the film. Tentatively
referred to as KHxRK, the project has already become one of the most talked-about developments in Tamil cinema.
According to a Filmibeat report, Trisha Krishnan is expected to be roped in for the tentatively titled KHxRK Reunion. The report also claims that the actress may demand good remuneration. However, the makers have not made any official announcement yet. Trisha has previously worked with Kamal Haasan in films such as Manmadhan Ambu, Thoongaavanam, and Thug Life. She also shared screen space with Rajinikanth in Petta.
Kamal Haasan and Rajinikanth are all set to share screen space. The announcement, along with the promo video, has only increased excitement among fans. They are eagerly waiting for the shoot and release updates. And now the latest buzz mentions that the makers are eyes festival window in 2027. However, an official confirmation is still awaited. As reported by 123 Telugu, KH x RK might hit the big screens either during Dussehra or Diwali in 2027. The shoot is expected to commence in August 2026.

The makers of Trisha Krishnan and Suriya’s Karuppu have penned a special note for Tamil Nadu’s new Chief Minister and the actress’s close friend, C Joseph Vijay, for allowing them to start the film’s shows at 9 AM. Karuppu is among the most highly anticipated releases of the month, and the makers’ note has gone viral. The production house wrote on X, “Special thanks to our honorable Chief Minister Thiru. Joseph Vijay for granting the special permission for the 9AM shows of #Karuppu. #Karuppu – FDFS begins at 9AM, from May 14th A @SaiAbhyankkar Musical.” They also shared a photo of CM Vijay with a gratitude note “from team Suriya”. Karuppu’s trailer was released recently. The trailer gave audiences a glimpse into a world where faith, justice and oppression collide, with Suriya stepping into a larger-than-life role rooted in divine symbolism. Directed by RJ Balaji, the film is being billed as a fantasy action drama.
The trailer introduces a world where corrupt lawyers exploit and oppress the underprivileged. As the question arises over who will protect the helpless, Karuppusamy, the deity associated with justice, takes human form to safeguard his people and restore balance.
Suriya plays Karuppu, a character designed to appeal to both mass audiences and mythic forces. Trisha Krishnan appears as the co-lead, with Chinmayi lending her voice. RJ Balaji, apart from directing the film, also appears as Baby Kannan, the primary antagonist. Karuppu also features Indrans, Natty Subramaniam, Swasika, Sshivada, Anagha Maaya Ravi and others in important roles.
