Two police officers from Sikkim have won appreciation online for a thoughtful on-duty gesture that helped clear a blocked pathway while sparing a vehicle owner from a fine.
The officers were seen moving
a motorcycle parked outside a designated parking zone into the proper area at a parking lot. The action ensured that the road remained unobstructed and that the bike owner avoided a penalty.
The moment was recorded by solo traveller and vlogger Satyajeet Dahiya, who asked the policemen why they were shifting the bike instead of issuing a challan. One of the officers replied,
“Ye no-parking mein tha” (“It was in the no-parking zone”). The vlogger then remarked, “Where would you find such police?”
‘Protective And Helpful’
The clip was later shared on Instagram, drawing praise from users who described the officers as professional, protective and helpful.
“Sikkim police is so professional, protective and helpful, experienced,” commented a person.
Someone else said, “Most honest and hardworking people.”
“Huge respect for the North East,” said an individual.

With this recognition, Sikkim becomes the 15th state to receive the President’s Colour.
