In a recent chat on Zoom’s podcast, she shared her thoughts and excitement about the sequel, giving fans a glimpse of what’s to come.
Kriti Sanon Feels Cocktail 2 Happened At The Right Time
Speaking about Cocktail 2, the Mimi actress said she was looking for a film that wasn’t as heavy as her recent release. “Cocktail 2 just happened at the right time. I was craving it. I wanted to go into that really young, urban, fun space of a rom-com,” she shared.
She added, “Yes, it’s a sequel, but it’s more of a vibe sequel, I feel. The story is completely different, the characters are completely different, and their backstories are completely different.”
To this, the podcast host pointed out that even the actors are different. Kriti nodded and continued, saying that everything has changed except the vibe of the film, Maddock Films, and director Homi Adajania.
Cocktail 2’s 3rd Schedule To Start Filming Soon
Kriti revealed that two major schedules of the film have already been completed. She shared that the third schedule will begin soon in Mumbai. The actress also teased that the film will feature some amazing music.
Adding to her excitement, Kriti revealed that Anaita Shroff Adajania has handled the styling for the film, and she is thrilled about looking completely different from all her previous films.
She further shared that the sequel retains the same spirit, presenting a refreshing experience with stunning visuals and a nuanced, contemporary take on modern relationships that feels deeply relevant today. She also shared that she had a blast shooting with her co-stars Shahid Kapoor and Rashmika Mandanna, along with director Homi Adajania. When the host asked Kriti about reuniting with Shahid after Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya, she cheekily replied, “Yes, but I’m finally a human,” hinting at her role as a robot in the previous film.
