A walk through old neighbourhoods often reveals stories from the past, and one such story has now caught people’s attention online. The reason? It has a link with legendary Bollywood superstar Amitabh
Bachchan. A content creator from Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, shared a video on Instagram, and the clip shows the exterior of a house believed to be linked to the Bachchans. The video, recorded from outside the property, highlights the building that is said to be connected to the superstar’s childhood.
In the clip, the creator stands outside the house and introduces it to viewers. He says, “Hello friends, the house you are seeing behind me is the house of Amitabh Bachchan, the great leader of the century.”
He further explains that the property is located on Clive Road in Prayagraj and identifies it as bungalow number 17. According to the narration in the video, the house is believed to be where Amitabh Bachchan spent a significant part of his childhood with his father, renowned Hindi poet Harivansh Rai Bachchan.
The creator claims that the Bachchan family lived there on rent for nearly nine years during that time. The bungalow, according to the video, was named Suryabhedi Bhavan and is sometimes called the 10-door bungalow.
The video also highlights the architectural design of the property. The creator explains that the structure was designed in such a way that sunlight could reach almost every corner of the house.
He also mentions that the bungalow is currently maintained under the supervision of a trust. In addition to this property, the video claims that the Bachchan family had another residence in the area, which is still said to exist in a livable condition.
As the video gained momentum, a user commented on the clip, “Mai To Bachpan Se Dekhte Aayi Hoon, Hamaare Ghar se Thodi Hi Doori Pe Hai Ye Bangla.” Another wrote, “Amitab bacchan ji ka ghar avoam janmbhumi pratapgarh me h.” Someone else joined in, “Amitab bacchan ji ka ghar muthiganj me bhi hai gautam cinima ke piche.”
Indian Cricketer Mohammad Kaif’s Prayagraj House
Prayagraj, earlier, also drew attention for another celebrity home in the city. At the time, the spotlight was on former Indian cricketer Mohammad Kaif and his residence in Prayagraj. In a video shared on Instagram, a vlogger filmed the house from outside while walking along the street in New Friends Colony, a residential area in Prayagraj.
The clip briefly shows the black entrance gate next to which there is a small nameplate which reads “Mohd Kaif,” identifying the house as the cricketer’s residence. The video does not enter the property but focuses only on the exterior view from the street. Still, the short glimpse gives viewers an idea of the house’s layout, sending his fans into a frenzy.
