Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra, the Kalyani Priyardarshan starrer superhero film, has been getting a lot of praise, especially for its fresh and compelling storyline, stunning visuals, excellent performances
and the blend of Kerala folklore with a modern setting. Released on August 28, the film has minted a total of Rs 31.05 crore after five days of its release, as per sacnilk.com.

Helmed by Dominic Arun and produced by Dulquer Salmaan, under his banner Wayfarer Films, Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra also features South actors Naslen and Sandy in pivotal roles.
The film follows the story of Chandra, a mysterious woman who comes to Bangalore and uncovers her hidden powers as a superhero, becoming entangled in a dangerous conflict with dark forces and a relentless police inspector. Her neighbour, Sunny, gets drawn into her world of supernatural events rooted in Indian folklore.

The film got a decent opening with just Rs 2.7 crore on Day 1 at the domestic box office, as per sacnilk.com. However, the positive word of mouth worked in favour of the film with significant growth in the following days. It collected Rs 4 crore, Rs 7.6 crore, Rs 10.1 crore and Rs 6.65 crore on Days 2, 3, 4, 5, respectively.
