National Film Awards LIVE Updates: In just a few hours from now, some of our biggest film stars will be honoured with the National Film Award. The event is scheduled for 4 p.m. on September 23, 2025, at Vigyan
Bhawan in New Delhi. President Droupadi Murmu will present the awards, honouring excellence in films released in 2023.
When the 71st National Film Awards were announced on August 1, it instantly became the talk of the town, especially with Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan receiving his first National Award for his role in the film Jawan. He is sharing the honour with Vikrant Massey, who also won the Best Actor National Award for his performance in 12th Fail.
Among others, Vidhu Vinod Chopra’s 12th Fail will also receive the Best Feature Film Award, while the offbeat comedy, Kathal – A Jackfruit Mystery, will be honoured as the Best Hindi Film. Rani Mukerji will also be honoured with the Best Actress award for her powerful performance in Mrs Chatterjee vs Norway.
Fans can watch the ceremony live on YouTube via the official DD News Channel, with the broadcast beginning at 3 p.m. ahead of the winners walking the red carpet and receiving their awards on stage.
