Bollywood’s favourite couple, Katrina Kaif and Vicky Kaushal, have just announced they are expecting their first child. Sharing the happy news on Instagram, the couple wrote, “On our way to start the best
chapter of our lives with hearts full of joy and gratitude.” Along with the caption, they shared a priceless Polaroid photo.
Amid the excitement, a video from Koffee With Karan 2018 has gone viral. Back then, Katrina had hinted at her admiration for Vicky long before their romance had begun. When asked by host Karan Johar about whom she would like to work with, Katrina had said, “I would like to work with [Vicky] out of this list because I think we might look nice together.”
Vicky Kaushal’s Reaction Went Viral
The conversation became even more iconic when Vicky appeared on the show later. As Karan Johar told him of Katrina’s earlier comment asking for the Masaan actor’s reaction, he enacted to faint in disbelief on the Koffee couch. Fans couldn’t stop talking about it, and the video is still earning fans’ love, and honestly, we don’t blame them.
Katrina also shared details of their relationship in another season of Koffee With Karan, where she appeared after her wedding. Talking to the host and the filmmaker, Katrina confessed that Vicky was never on her radar. “I did not even know much about him. He was just a name I had heard but had never associated with. But then, when I met him, I was won over!” she shared.
The actress also revealed that the first person she confessed her feelings to was director Zoya Akhtar. In her words, their love was “unexpected and out of the blue.” She also added, “It was my destiny and it was really meant to be. There were so many coincidences that at one point, all of it just felt so unreal.”
Vicky Kaushal-Katrina Kaif’s Work Front
Professionally, Vicky has been riding high on the success of his epic historical action film Chhaava. Based on the life of Sambhaji, the second ruler of the Maratha Empire, the film is one of the highest-grossing films of the year. Rashmika Mandanna and Akshaye Khanna also played key roles in the film. Next up, he will be seen in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Love & War alongside Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal.
Katrina Kaif, on the other hand, was last seen in the 2024 film Merry Christmas, where her chemistry with Vijay Sethupathi won hearts. She is yet to announce her next project.
