Ramayana, starring Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi and Yash, is one of the most eagerly awaited films of the year. Fans have been waiting with bated breaths for any update about the big-budget mythological
film directed by Nitesh Tiwari. Now, according to Variety India, the team of Ramayana is reportedly set to kick off the film’s promotional tour in the United States of America. This will mark the first official promotion for the project since the poster and first teaser were unveiled.
Ramayana Promotions To Begin In The US?
Variety India reports that Ranbir Kapoor (who portrays Lord Rama in the film), along with director Nitesh Tiwari and producer Namit Malhotra (of DNEG), will hold a media interaction in the coming days. The event, likely to take place towards the end of March, will reportedly showcase assets from the big-budget film.
Reports indicate that the film is being mounted on an exceptionally high budget, boasts a star-studded ensemble, and brings together Hans Zimmer and AR Rahman to compose the score for the two-part epic, which has driven excitement for the film to very high levels in the US and across the world.
Although the exact venue for the event has not yet been disclosed, further information will likely be shared closer to the date. This event will be the first in a series of planned promotional activities in the US. At the same time, the schedule for the film’s promotional campaign in India has not yet been announced.
Meanwhile, last month, a report in Mid Day claimed that the team is planning to launch the trailer of Ramayana at San Diego Comic-Con in July this year. The makers are reportedly in advanced talks with San Diego Comic-Con for a grand trailer launch. If everything goes well, the launch would position the Ranbir Kapoor starrer, planned as a two-part film, alongside some of the biggest international franchise showcases. A source told the portal, “Comic-Con gives it a global platform. The idea is to present the mythological drama not just as an Indian epic, but as a cinematic spectacle to the world. The feedback at the screening has strengthened the team’s belief that the film can travel across cultures.”

While Ranbir Kapoor is playing the role of Lord Ram, Sai Pallavi will be seen as Goddess Sita. KGF star Yash will be seen as Ravana in this movie. Sunny Deol and Ravie Dubey will play the roles of Hanuman and Lakshman respectively. On the other hand, Kajal Aggarwal and Rakul Preet Singh will be seen as Mandodri and Surpanakha. Arun Govil, Kunal Kapoor, Adinath Kothare, Sheeba Chaddha and Indira Krishnan are also a part of this project.
It is directed by Nitesh Tiwari and produced by Namit Malhotra’s Prime Focus Studios in association with Yash’s Monster Mind Creations. Ramayana Part I is slated for a theatrical release this Diwali, while the second chapter will release on Diwali 2027.
