The JEE Main 2026 Session 1 admit card has been released on the official website at jeemain.nta.nic.in. Candidates must note that they will not be allowed to enter the exam centre without an admit card.
If any candidate notices any errors on their JEE Main admit card, they must notify the NTA immediately. Failure to do so may result in problems later. The NTA website may crash after the JEE Main admit card 2026 is released. In this case, wait a bit, refresh, and try again.
Candidates whose JEE Main exam centre is in West Bengal must carefully check the new exam date on their admit card. NTA has clarified that their exam will be shifted to another date between January 21 and 29.
“Admit Cards for the candidates whose exams are scheduled on 28 and 29 January 2026 will be released in due course. The candidates are also required to ensure that the QR Code and the barcode is available on the Admit card while downloading. All candidates should bring the photo ID as uploaded in online application form and also mentioned in the Admit Card for proof of identity,” states the official notice.
How To Download JEE Main Admit Card 2026?
Step 1 — To download JEE Main 2026 admit card, visit the official website of NTA at jeemain.nta.nic.in.
Step 2 — Click on the link to download the admit card.
Step 3 — Enter details like application number and date of birth.
Step 4 — Enter the security pin (Captcha) displayed and click ‘Submit’.
Step 5 — The JEE admit card will be displayed on the screen. Take a printout of it and keep at least two copies with you.

Important Instructions For Exam Day
— Per NTA guidelines, candidates should bring a clear photo ID to the JEE exam centre, with the Aadhaar card being the preferred option, provided the photo is current. If their Aadhaar has been updated, a colour printout of your e-Aadhaar is also acceptable.
— It is advisable to carry at least two colour printouts of the admit card. One copy will be submitted at the exam centre, and the other should be kept safe for future reference (result/counselling).
— Candidates will receive six A4-sized rough sheets in the JEE exam hall. If additional sheets are needed, they can request more. After the exam, they must place their admit card and rough sheets in the designated drop box. Failure to do so may result in their results being withheld.
— Adhere to the dress code on the day of the JEE Main exam. Avoid clothes with large buttons, shoes with thick soles, or metal jewellery. The safest choices are sandals or slippers.
