Jasprit Bumrah made a wonderful gesture for one of his fans ahead of India’s next match of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026. The star fast bowler ensured he fulfilled the wish of this loyal fan who had
rushed past the security personnel to try and sneak in a selfie with him.
Bumrah, who was part of the Team India contingent invited for a special dinner at head coach Gautam Gambhir‘s home in New Delhi on Sunday, was leaving the posh residence when the incident happened.
In a video shared widely online, one can see this jovial and excited Bumrah fan breaching the security cordon and approaching Bumrah for a picture.
The security officials promptly interrupted.
However, Bumrah won hearts by urging the security personnel to take it easy and let the fan have his moment.

The fan proceeded to take the selfie before Bumrah gently tapped his back and stepped inside the team bus that would’ve taken the players back to their hotel.
Earlier on Sunday night, Gambhir, along with his wife Natasha Jain and their two little daughters Aazeen and Anaiza could be seen welcoming the Indian cricketers at their residence.
It was a good opportunity for the players to relax and enjoy a meal together before resuming their playing duties for the T20 World Cup on Thursday (February 12) against Namibia.
India began their campaign on Saturday by avoiding a minor scare from the spirited team of the United States of America and registering their first win and points in Group A.
It remains to be seen if Bumrah, who missed the Mumbai outing due to sickness, makes a return for the clash slated to be played at the Arun Jaitley Stadium.
