Karisma Kapoor has been getting a positive response from the audience for her performance in crime thriller, Brown. The show is keeping audience hooked. Well, recently she revealed her favourite film starring
her Kareena Kapoor Khan. During a recent interaction, Karisma was asked to name a Kareena Kapoor film that holds a special place in her heart. While Kareena has delivered several memorable performances over the years, Karisma did not hesitate in picking her personal favourite.
In conversation with News18, Karisma Kapoor revealed that The Buckingham Murders is her all time favourite film. “The Buckingham Murders is one of my favourite movie of Kareena’s all time favourite,” she said. In the film, Kareena plays a detective and grieving mother who, after losing her child, embarks on solving the murder of a 10-year-old in Buckinghamshire.

The movie also stars Ash Tandon, Ranveer Brar, and Keith Allen. Written by Aseem Arrora, Kashyap Kapoor, and Raghav Raj Kakker, ‘The Buckingham Murders’ is produced by Mahana Films and TBM Films, presented by Balaji Telefilms, with Shobha Kapoor, Ektaa R Kapoor, and Kareena co-producing.
The Buckingham Murders has managed to carve out a strong presence at the box office. The film opened to a collection of ₹1.62 Cr. on Day 1, followed by an impressive 90% surge on Day 2, bringing in ₹2.41 Cr. With continued positive feedback, Day 3 saw the film rake in ₹2.72 Cr., bringing the total weekend collection to ₹6.75 Cr.
News18 gave the film 4 out of 5 stars for its powerful performances, intention and brilliant cinematography. Our review read, “The Buckingham Murders is a slow-burn police procedural, mounted on the able shoulders of Kareena Kapoor Khan. It is a two-hour testament to Kareena’s brilliance as an actor. Mehta brings out the best in her. The actress, who once called herself ‘the most commercial heroine’, impresses with her unglamorous, nuanced expression of unresolved grief and devastation. Her silent desolation and subtle ways of rebellion become the film’s driving force.”

Headlined by Karisma Kapoor in the role of a cop, the series also features Surya Sharma, Jisshu Sengupta, and Soni Razdan in pivotal roles. As per the makers, Brown is a “neo-noir psychological crime thriller set against the haunting beauty and moral chaos of Kolkata. At its centre is Rita Brown (played by Karisma Kapoor), once the city’s finest cop–now a disgraced, alcoholic officer haunted by past.”
