In a tragic incident reported from Delhi’s Yamuna River, a 22-year-old man is feared to have drowned while immersing idol of Godess Saraswati. Four young men had entered the water for the immersion, and
one of them, Vikas, a resident of Harola, Sector 5, Noida, didn’t come out.
The entire incident was recorded and the three men can be heard calling Vikas. However, there was no sign of him.
Upon receiving the news, teams from the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) and National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) promptly arrived at the scene and the search operation is underway.
East Delhi District Magistrate Amol Shrivastava was also present, overseeing the search operation. Teams from both Uttar Pradesh and Delhi are actively engaged in the search effort.
