Speculation surrounding the acting debut of Yatra, Dhanush’s elder son, has once again gained momentum. While Dhanush has previously maintained that his son is still young and has a long journey ahead
before stepping into cinema, fresh reports now suggest that Yatra is preparing for his big-screen debut.
Gulte has reported that Yatra’s debut will reportedly be produced by Dhanush himself. As per the reports, Yatra will play the lead role in the film, and it will be directed by Rajkumar Periasamy. GV Prakash is likely to be the music composer for the film. The pre-production works are reportedly in progress, and the look test has been completed already. The team plans to organize a launch event for the same soon
In April, speaking at the Kara pre-release event, the actor was quoted as saying, “I came into acting at the age of 16 because of my circumstances. He is just 19 now, and I still see him as a kid. I don’t know what he will become yet, it’s too early to say.” The actor’s comment comes amid rumours suggesting that he might be planning to launch his son in cinema, possibly by directing the film himself.
It is worthy to mention here that Dhanush’s son, Yatra, has already made his debut as lyricist in his father’s third directorial venture, titled Nilavuku En Mel Ennadi Kobam. Actor SJ Suryah claimed that Yatra has written the lyrics of the film’s first single, Golden Sparrow. A member from Dhanush’s production house revealed the truth about Yatra’s contribution to the song. SJ Suryah shared Dhanush’s post regarding the first single and revealed that he watched the song starring Priyanka Mohan. Replying to SJ Suryah’s post, Sreyas, CEO of Dhanush’s Wunderbar Studios, mentioned that Yatra wrote only the four lines in the song. “Sirrr, Arivu brother has written the song, sir, but Yathra wrote only the hook and four lines of the song, sir. Thank you for your sweet words, sir. #GoldenSparrow from August 30th. #NEEK (sic).”
Dhanush’s work
The actor was last seen in Kara. Set against the backdrop of the 1991 Gulf War, the trailer begins with news of oil wells in Kuwait being set on fire by Iraq, triggering a massive impact on global economy, and severe fuel crisis. This widespread scarcity forms the core conflict of the film. Dhanush plays Karasaami, also known as Kara, a former robber who is compelled to return to crime as circumstances push him into survival mode.
Dhanush has also announced his next film, tentatively titled D55. Mammooty, Sai Pallavi, and Sreeleela are also part of the upcoming film. And now the project recently went on floors with a traditional mahurat ceremony, and pictures from the event have quickly gone viral across social media, sparking excitement among fans.
