Alpha teaser: Yash Raj Films has dropped the first teaser of Alpha, offering a glimpse into the origin story of Alia Bhatt’s assassin arc. Packed with intense action, covert missions and glimpses of a secret
training program, the teaser sets the stage for a new chapter in the YRF Spy Universe.
The teaser opens on Alia Bhatt’s character’s 18th birthday as she sits with her “baba”, played by Bobby Deol, at a restaurant. What seems to be a warm celebration takes a dramatic turn when he asks her to perform a high-stake mission on the 34th floor of the hotel. Later, the teaser sheds light on Alpha, a highly classified program created to train India’s next generation of elite soldiers. Designed to push recruits to their limits, the program subjects them to grueling physical and mental challenges in preparation for dangerous missions.
The teaser then shifts into full action mode in the world of espionage, showing Alia Bhatt in a series of high-octane fight sequences. She is seen taking on multiple opponents at once, engaging in hand-to-hand combat and navigating perilous situations with ease.
The teaser also reveals that her training began at a very young age. Through a series of flashbacks, viewers see Bobby Deol’s character mentoring and preparing her for the demanding life of a covert operative. The teaser traces her transformation from a young recruit in the Alpha program to a battle-ready spy capable of carrying out some of the most dangerous assignments.
Several action-packed moments stand out, including scenes of Alia riding a motorcycle, executing combat moves and taking down enemies in brutal close-quarter fights.
Directed by Shiv Rawail, Alpha stars Alia Bhatt and Sharvari in key roles. The film is touted as the first female-led installment in the YRF Spy Universe, which includes films like Ek Tha Tiger, Tiger Zinda Hai, War, Pathaan, Tiger 3 and War 2.
Alpha has already gone through multiple release date changes during its journey to the big screen. The film was initially slated for a 2025 release before being pushed to April 2026. Yash Raj Films later officially announced July 10, 2026, as its theatrical release date. However, the makers have advanced the film’s release by a week and Alpha is now set to arrive in cinemas on July 3, 2026.
