Salman Khan has reacted to the death of legendary playback singer Asha Bhosle, calling it a “huge loss” for Indian music. The singer passed away at the age of 92 in Mumbai, with her final rites set to take
place later today. Taking to social media, Salman Khan mourned the loss of the iconic singer and wrote, “A huge loss for Indian music….Heartbroken to hear about Asha ji. An irreplaceable voice, Your songs will continue to inspire generations.” Shah Rukh Khan also pays tribute Meanwhile, Shah Rukh Khan also expressed his grief and admiration for Asha Bhosle, remembering her legacy and personal warmth. He wrote, “It’s truly sad to learn about Asha Tai’s passing… her voice has been one of the pillars of Indian cinema and will continue to resonate world over for centuries to come. Mortal remains reach residence
Asha Bhosle’s mortal remains have now reached her residence amid heavy security. Several prominent names, including Anant Ambani and Devendra Fadnavis, were seen arriving to pay their last respects.
Final rites details, venue, time
Details of her final journey have also been announced. Her mortal remains will be kept at her residence from 11 am to 3 pm, allowing family, friends, colleagues and fans to pay their respects.
Her last rites will take place at Shivaji Park at 4 pm, with a large turnout expected from the film and music fraternity.
Family statement
Her son Anand Bhosle also addressed the media outside the hospital, saying,
“Meri mataji Shrimati Asha Bhosle inka aaj nidhan ho chuka hai. Woh Jahan rehti thi, Casa grand lower parel 11am, wahan unke antim darshan honge, wahan aaiye aur kal dopahar ko 4 baje Shivaji park unka antim sanskar hoga (She passed away today. Those who wish to pay their last respects can visit her residence tomorrow at 11 am. The last rites will be performed tomorrow at 4 pm at Shivaji Park).”
