Two Instagram reels have showcased this transformation. While one highlights an airport-style digital lounge inside the station, the other gives viewers a look at Urban Pod, a compact yet stylish place to stay on the station premises.
Airport-Style Digital Lounge
The Instagram reel showcases an airport-style digital lounge inside Mumbai Central, providing a premium waiting experience for passengers. According to the user, this is Mumbai’s first digital lounge within a railway station, offering multiple seating options, from cubicle seating for privacy and recliner chairs for proper rest, to sofas and lounge chairs.
The lounge offers high-speed Wi-Fi and air-conditioned comfort. Entry starts at Rs 200, which includes unlimited tea, coffee and snacks.
The lounge also offers neat washrooms, a shower area with toiletries, a private meeting room for groups and smart luggage lockers to keep belongings safe.
For those seeking more, breakfast, lunch and dinner buffet packages are available as add-ons. The reel says that the lounge provides an experience on a par with airport facilities, right inside the railway station.

Urban Pod

The Instagram user sharing the reel mentioned that, during a recent visit, he struggled to find available rooms and discovered Urban Pod as a convenient solution.
The reel highlights the interiors of the pod, showing beds for rest, a television for entertainment, ambient lighting for a cosy atmosphere and a locker to safely store shoes. The pods are neatly organised and provide a clean, modern alternative to budget hotels outside the station. Ideal for solo travellers, business commuters and passengers with long layovers, Urban Pod ensures comfort without leaving the station premises.
