Rihanna is back in India after two years, and this time around, the singer has visited Mumbai to launch her makeup brand. She has been creating a lot of buzz, from her warm interactions with fans and paparazzi
who were at the airport to welcome her to her attendance at the launch party of her makeup brand Fenty Beauty in Mumbai and dancing the night away at the DJ booth.
On Sunday, the singer visited the Ambani family’s residence in Mumbai and enjoyed an over-the-top traditional welcome followed by an intimate lunch with members of the family. Reliance Retail has brought Rihanna to India to celebrate Fenty Beauty, which is now available exclusively on Tira and Sephora.
For this special visit, Rihanna wore a olive tone grey maxi dress. The singer has been particularly partial to high-neck dresses during her trip to India. With a subtle metallic sheen, the gown had bell sleeves that flowed down her arm. It had some ruching details around her stomach that hugged her curves while also allowing for a lot of movement.
She accessoried with a black and silver necklace, toe-ring sandals and a black clutch. She left her hair long and curled and wore subtle makeup and a nude lipstick.
This was important because Rihanna loved every second of her traditional welcome. She was seen dancing and swaying to the music and even had a fun time throwing flowers on members of the Ambani family as they welcomed her home.
This is not the first time that the Ambani family has met the singer. For the unversed, she was the special guest for Radhika and Anant Ambani’s pre-wedding celebrations in Jamnagar 2 years ago. She performed her first private concert in eight years, a major moment, on March 1, 2024. She sang hits like “Work” and “Diamonds” for 1,200 guests. And it is clear that since then, as Radhika and Rihanna have developed a strong bond with the singer, as the two of them are seen hugging and laughing with each other.
At the event, the youngest of the Ambani family were present, including Isha, Shloka, Radhika and her husband Anant Ambani, who welcomed Rihanna for an afternoon immersed in Indian dance, culture and art.
Rhanna was seen feeding ladoos to a cow, taking part in the traditional aarti and even trying her hand at fugadi, a traditional folk dance or game that is done by women in Maharashtra, Goa and along the Konkan region. The mum of two was also seen interactign with the youngest of the Ambani clan as wild birds like the Macaw was present in the foreground.
